General Conditions, Important Indications and Rules of the Hotel
General conditions
- All of the apartments of our Beach Boutique Hotel Praia do Forte – Porto da Lua have mini-bar, balcony with hammock, air conditioning, TV, solar hot shower and telephone with direct dialing options.
- Restaurant and bar, both inside and on the beach, massage on the beach, comfortable lounge with spectacular view on the beach and the sea, wireless Internet, parking located right behind the Hotel on the public little street, which ends behind the Hotel.
- Restaurant area: Out of respect for our other clients - bathing slip only is not permitted.
- Our prices are always rated for two persons and include our great breakfast and the afternoon tea with various delicious items.
- Any additional bed will be charged 25%, except for the first child up to six years of age, which will be free.
- Check-in after 14:00h, Check-out until 12:00h. If a room has pre-reservation for the following period, the Porto da Lua Beach Pousada Praia do Forte reserves the right to liberate the apartment and guard the belongings of the client if check out has not been done at the agreed time limit.
- Payments: 50% down payment when confirming reservation via Visa, Master Card, American Express Amex, Banking transfer or cash, the remaining at check-out. After your down payment a confirmation of the booking is sent by email or WhatsApp.
- For cancellations up to 15 days before check-in we only charge 10% of administrative fee. Afterwards, we do not refund the amount of the advance, but it may be used for another reservation within six months. Non-attendance without prior written communication by email or WhatsApp, on the expected date of arrival, will be considered withdrawal without cancellation, it will be no-show. The reservation will remain available until the following day, time of check-out, according to international hotel practice. “No show” at full cost of reservation.
- We are helping our clients of the best possible manner to enjoy the many options of round trips, leisure’s, adventures and night life activities that Praia do Forte Bahia and Salvador offers. But we do not take any responsibility for any tour or services indicated by the reception or can be found in one of the many brochures exposed in the lobby. We are merely indicating potential offers from other tour operators or services or restaurants. Whether this service meets the expectation of the client or meets his physical ability is fully within the responsibility of the client. The Hotel does not take any profit from any of this tour. The same applies for massage, which will be combined directly between the client and the masseuse, who is not an employee of the Hotel.
- Tariffs of our Porto da Lua Beach Pousada Praia do Forte Bahia are subject of alterations. They may also alter according to Government policies.
- In agreement with Law 8.069/90 arts. 82 and 250 on Infant and of the Adolescent protection, it is prohibited the lodging, in hotel, of infant or adolescent, except in company by his parents. In doubts, consult your next Brazilian embassy. Law 8.069/90 arts. 82 and 250.
Important Indications
- Child care service: On request we provide an individual child care service, as the hotel has no specialized playground for children. Our staff is not trained for taking care of children.
- Beware of slippery rocks on the beach. At low tide, the natural pools offer a nice snorkeling experience. But be careful: the reef and the stones in front of it can be very slippery.
- Visitors are not permitted. The entire Hotel area is strictly for guests only.
- We do not take responsibility for any of the excursion options indicated by the Hotel, for values left in your room and for your car parked behind the Hotel. It’s a public space.
Rules of the Hotel

- In the lobby and restaurant, we kindly ask you to dress properly. Swimming dress only without shirt is not allowed.
- Please consider that everything you do on the balcony may be inconvenient to other guests: smoke, music, partying, loud conversations on your cell phone. It is forbidden to use your own music boxes. Smoking is not allowed on the entire Hotel area.
- After sunset, please respect other guests who select our Hotel for its unique silence. If you feel like partying - the village Praia de Forte is full of options. Please do not party on the balcony.
- Please do not throw anything in the toilet. Even regular toilet paper may interrupt the proper functioning. Please use the basket next to the toilet.
- Please do not use towels from the room on the beach. We provide daily a fresh beach-towel at reception. For loss we charge R$ 30.00.
- Check-in time after 14:00h. Check-out until 12:00 noon. Room and Frigobar will be checked during check out.
- Water is scare. Feel free to use as much as you need, but please make sure handles are closed when not using. We provide 2 pillows/person. Extra pillows are R$20/day.
- Sea-turtles lay their eggs even on the Hotel beach area. Light may disturb their orientation. So please switch of lights on the balcony when you are not using it.
- At the reception you can get tour information, games, beach towels and books.
- We do not take responsibility for any of the excursion options indicated by the Hotel, for values left in your room and for your car parked behind the Hotel. It’s a public space.
- Restaurant hours 12:00h until 22:00h
- Room Service 18:00h until 22:00h
- Breakfast is from 8:00h to 10:00h and afternoon tea from 16:00h to 17:00h, included in your day’s room rate, served in the restaurant. We also have an excellent kitchen. We kindly invite you to enjoy our nice restaurant, where we will be pleased to serve you. Latest order for the kitchen: 22:00h.
Wireless Internet
We have Internet Wireless broad Band. It’s free. Just ask the reception for the access sign. The Wireless works best in the lounge and the Restaurant. We have contracted four internet lines, every single one broad band. Unfortunately, we often just receive low speed rate. If this happens we apologize. But we have no influence on the regional internet speed
